Your Gift Transforms Lives

Why Donate?

You might be wondering why we need donations.  Buying a piece of Akola jewelry provides the basic necessities (food, water, shelter, & basic healthcare) for women and their families.  Donations fund the ongoing training and education of Akola members in order to bridge the gap between their increased access to income and their goals beyond survival. Through Akola Academy, we have a team of 22 members (expats and nationals) on the ground training, equipping and ministering to the 400+ women of Akola Project.

100% of your donations will fund a unique development program where women are offered classes in business development, finance, health and ministry. Akola Academy offers ongoing programs that help women steward their new income, achieve personal development goals and walk in dignity to become agents of transformation in their families and communities.

The Impact of Your Gift

Kauta RoseKauta Rose
“…I aspire to be encouraging, a blessing to others, a good mother, and someone who uplifts widows because I am one myself. I will do business, grow crops to sell, tailor, and start a school. I will own a house, a car, land, a tap from which I can sell water, a machine to make soap, and a machine for grinding things like millet and g-nuts. I will learn how to use a computer, how to make soap, how to make juice, and how to have business skills. My children will have the best and highest levels of education. I will teach them how to work hard like my fellow widows.”
